What learners actually receive

What's on every certificate

• The learner's full name — exactly as they registered. We don't auto-capitalise or trim.
• The course title — matching the accredited course record.
• CPD hours awarded — calculated from the assessed structured learning time of the course.
• Completion date — the day the learner finished, not the day the certificate was generated.
• Course Director / Trainer name — the trainer or author your learners actually engaged with.
• VeritasCPD accreditation number — links the certificate to the public accreditation record.
• Unique certificate number — verifiable at the public verification URL.
• Verification QR code — phone-scan to the verification page (in printable templates).

What makes it credible

A certificate is only as trustworthy as the system behind it. Three things make the VeritasCPD certificate verifiable rather than decorative:

1. Public verification — anyone can paste the certificate number into our verification page and see whether it's genuine, who completed it, and which course it relates to.
2. Course-level accreditation — the certificate's authority comes from the course having passed our 8-point quality framework, not from the certificate's design.
3. Tamper-evident issuance — certificates are generated server-side from the course record at the moment of issue. They can't be back-dated, edited, or forged after the fact.

How learners use it

Adding to LinkedIn

The delivery email includes a one-click "Add to LinkedIn" link that pre-fills the issuer (VeritasCPD), credential ID, and verification URL. The learner clicks once, hits save, and the certificate appears in their LinkedIn "Licenses & Certifications" section.

Submitting to a regulator

For NMC revalidation, GMC appraisal, SRA competence reviews, and similar processes, the learner attaches the PDF and (where the regulator's portal supports it) the verification URL. Regulators value the verification URL specifically because they can confirm authenticity without contacting us.

Showing an employer

For HR systems and corporate L&D records, the certificate ID and the verification URL are sufficient. Some employers maintain whitelists of accreditation bodies they recognise; VeritasCPD's transparent assessment framework is designed to clear those whitelists.

Customising the template

You're a brand. Your learners' certificates should reflect that. Within the VeritasCPD certificate editor you can:

• Upload your company's logo (placed top-left or top-centre — your choice).
• Add up to two signature blocks with custom names and titles.
• Set brand colours for the accent borders and dividers.
• Choose from several paper textures (cream, ivory, ice, navy).
• Pick the script font for signatures.

The VeritasCPD accreditation logo, accreditation number, and verification QR remain in fixed positions — they're the trust signal, and moving them would weaken it.

Delivery

When a learner completes a course, the certificate is generated automatically and emailed to them. If they request a duplicate later — or lose the email — they can re-download from a private, single-use link without re-contacting your support team.
