Course Accreditation
Quality marks that learners and employers trust.
Independent CPD accreditation for your training courses — a clear, supportive process designed for providers of every size.
The Review
What course accreditation covers.
A thorough look at your training material, delivery, and learning outcomes — against published CPD quality standards.
When you submit a course for CPD accreditation, our review looks at the full learning experience. We assess your content for accuracy, relevance, and depth. We examine whether your stated learning outcomes are clear, measurable, and achievable within the time allocated. We also consider the delivery format — whether face-to-face, blended, or entirely online — to ensure it supports effective learning.
Reviewers look at how your course is structured, from introductory material through to assessment or reflection. We check that learners have genuine opportunities to engage, ask questions, and apply what they have learned. Supporting materials — handouts, slides, reference documents — are all part of the review.
The goal is not to impose a rigid template on your training but to confirm that it meets the quality standards professionals and employers expect from CPD-accredited learning. We work with you to address any areas that need strengthening, so you can be confident in your accreditation.

The Benefits
More than a badge.
Accreditation signals to learners and employers that your training meets a trusted standard.
Recognised quality
Independent confirmation that your course content, structure, and delivery meet established standards. It shows you take your training seriously.
Learner confidence
Professionals choosing CPD want to know their time is well spent. Accreditation reassures them the training will genuinely contribute to their development.
Market differentiation
In a crowded training market, accreditation helps your courses stand out. A clear, visible indicator that can influence purchasing decisions.
CPD compliance
Many professions require CPD hours annually. Accredited courses make it straightforward for learners to log and evidence their development to regulatory bodies.
Course formats
Every common training format, accredited the same way.
The framework is the same regardless of how your course is delivered. The way we evaluate it adapts to the format. Below is what we look at for each, so you can prepare the right evidence.
Self-paced online courses
The majority of courses we accredit. We assess the LMS-hosted content directly: structure, navigation, content quality, time-on-task estimates, embedded knowledge checks, and the final assessment. You provide reviewer access; we don't need video downloads. Hour values are based on the time a competent learner needs to complete each module attentively.
Live cohort and classroom courses
For tutor-led delivery (in-person or via Zoom/Teams), we review the syllabus, slide deck, facilitator's guide, and any participant workbook. The CPD hour value reflects the live contact time plus required pre-work and assessment. Where the same course is delivered repeatedly, accreditation covers the format — not each individual session — so you don't re-apply each cohort.
Blended programmes
Most professional development is now blended — pre-work, live workshop, post-work assessment. We assess the components together rather than separately, focusing on whether each part contributes to the stated outcomes. The hour value sums across components.
Workshops, masterclasses, and intensive sessions
Single-session courses (often half-day or full-day) get the same review with a slightly different lens: we look harder at how outcomes are demonstrated within the time available. Short sessions can absolutely be CPD-accredited; they just need a tighter outcome map.
Multi-course programmes and qualifications
If you offer a structured programme of multiple courses (a diploma, a series, a pathway), we can accredit the full programme as one — or accredit individual courses — whichever fits your commercial model. Volume pricing applies above 5 courses.
Renewal
Keeping accreditation current.
Accreditation is granted for a fixed term — usually annual, with multi-year options that lock in the price. Toward the end of the term we run a renewal review. The renewal isn't a full re-accreditation: we look for material changes to the content, evidence that the course has been kept current, and any feedback from learners. Most courses renew without modification.
If you've made significant changes during the term — restructured the assessment, replaced the trainer, swapped delivery format — let us know in advance. Mid-term changes don't void the accreditation, but they do need a quick check so the badge remains accurate.
Courses that go out of date without renewal are de-accredited and removed from the public verification register. We don't keep stale badges in circulation; doing so would weaken the signal for everyone.
What's included
The accreditation deliverables.
When your course is accredited, you receive:
- A unique VeritasCPD accreditation number referenced on every certificate.
- A public verification page where anyone can confirm the accreditation is genuine and current.
- The VeritasCPD digital badge in multiple formats (PNG, SVG, embeddable HTML) for your course page, marketing materials, and email signature.
- A customisable certificate template for issuing to learners — pre-populated with your branding, the accreditation marks, and the learner's CPD hour entitlement. See a sample certificate.
- A written assessment summary recording how the course met each of the eight framework dimensions — useful for procurement responses and tender documents.
- Dashboard analytics showing certificate issuance and verification activity per course.
